Meet Jalyse
Sexual Abuse Trauma Therapist in Los Angeles, CA
You may be carrying experiences that have left you feeling unsafe in your own body, disconnected from yourself, or weighed down by memories that won’t let go. Healing from trauma isn’t about “fixing” what’s wrong with you—it’s about reclaiming the wholeness that has always been yours. You deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are and be supported without judgment.
That’s what I offer. My practice is a virtual safe place for women (18+) across California, especially millennial, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ clients who are healing from sexual trauma, childhood abuse, or complex PTSD. Here, you don’t have to shrink yourself or explain away parts of your story to be understood.
As a Black millennial therapist, I understand how difficult it can be to find care that truly gets it—care that is trauma-informed, culturally aware, and affirming of your whole identity. My role is to walk alongside you as you rediscover safety, connection, and strength.
In our work together, we’ll focus on:
-
Safety in your body
Helping you feel grounded, calm, and at home within yourself.
-
Reclaiming your voice
Supporting you in expressing who you truly are without shame.
-
Healing the nervous system
Using EMDR, somatic practices, to release trauma at its roots.
-
Building resilience
Giving you skills to navigate daily life with ease and stability.
-
Strengthening self-compassion
Learning to meet yourself with kindness instead of criticism.
My Approach
My approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced to honor your readiness. You’re the expert of your own story, and together, we’ll create a path that feels supportive and sustainable.
Healing doesn’t erase what you’ve been through, but it can change how those experiences live inside you. It’s about moving from survival to living fully—on your terms. You don’t have to do this alone, and I would be honored to support you on your journey.

Outside of being a therapist, I’m a pet mom to a very spirited standard poodle, the oldest daughter, and a sister whose best friend happens to be my sibling. I love building Lego sets (there’s something so satisfying about snapping those bricks together) and heading out on hikes to soak up fresh air and quiet moments.
In my free time, you can usually find me reading, listening to music or audiobooks, watching anime, or wandering new places on foot. Morning coffee is a non-negotiable joy, and I’m happiest near the ocean, at the beach, or exploring a city I’ve never been to. One of my biggest dreams is to travel the world, one stop at a time.
I’ve always been a listener. Even in elementary school, classmates would come to me with their problems, and I’d sit and hold space for their stories. That part of me never changed—I’m still the confidant many people turn to. What moves me most is the resilience I see in others, the way people bounce back and hold on to hope that life can feel different.
As a therapist, the greatest privilege is connecting deeply with people, hearing their stories, and walking alongside them as they rebuild their lives—one brick at a time. I look forward to learning about your perspective, your quirks, and your hopes as we create a life that feels worth living.
