FAQ

  • What’s your session fee?

I offer therapy sessions at a standard rate of $175 per 45-minute session

  • What do you specialize in?

I support millennial women—especially those from BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities—who are healing from sexual trauma, including childhood abuse, assault, and complex PTSD. If you've ever felt silenced, dismissed, or disconnected from yourself, you're not alone—and you don’t have to carry it all by yourself anymore.

  • What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is a gentle beginning. You don’t need to share everything all at once—we go at your pace. We'll talk about what brings you to therapy, complete a biopsychosocial assessment, find out what you're hoping for, and any questions or concerns you might have. It's okay to feel nervous—this is a space where all parts of you are welcome.

  • Is virtual therapy really effective?

Yes—research shows that telehealth is just as effective as in-person therapy for most mental health concerns, including trauma. Many clients actually feel more comfortable opening up from a space that feels safe and familiar to them. Healing doesn’t require an office—it requires safety, connection, and trust.

  • What do I need for a telehealth session?

Just a stable WiFi connection, a phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera, and a pair of headphones. Find a quiet, private space where you feel comfortable. That might be your bedroom, your car, or a cozy corner just for you.

  • How long are sessions and how often will we meet?

Sessions are typically 45 minutes long. Most clients start with weekly sessions, but we’ll find a rhythm that works for you. Consistency helps create the safety needed for deep healing—but flexibility is part of the process too.

  • Do you accept insurance?

At this time, I am a private-pay therapist, which means I don’t bill insurance.

  • What’s your session fee? Do you offer sliding scale?

My standard fee is $175, and I currently do not offer a sliding scale.

  • What’s your cancellation policy?

Life happens—especially when you're healing. I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed sessions may be charged the full fee, but I’ll always consider your circumstances with compassion.

  • How do I know if therapy is working?

Progress doesn’t always feel like a straight line. But over time, you may notice feeling less overwhelmed, more connected to yourself, and more confident setting boundaries or speaking your truth. I’ll check in with you regularly to make sure therapy is supporting your goals in a meaningful way.

  • I’ve had bad therapy experiences before. How is this different?

I honor the courage it takes to try again. This is a space built on consent, not pressure. You are always in control of what we explore. My work is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and deep respect for your lived experience.

  • Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients and people of color?

Yes—wholeheartedly. My practice is an affirming, inclusive space for queer, trans, and BIPOC clients. Your identity is not something we work around—it’s something we center, celebrate, and hold with care throughout the healing process.
